FEES for individual sessions are

$95 for a 45-minute session

$125 for 60 minutes

$165 for 90 minutes

The first session is always a one-hour consultation at $125 unless other arrangements are made.
However there is NO CHARGE if we determine
during the consultation that I cannot help you, or you feel I am not the therapist for you.

Studies show that lasting change usually requires regular meetings of once or twice a week for several months, but longer or shorter-term counseling may also be needed and effective.

Six sessions is often considered brief therapy
and needed as a minimum to:

      • see what's really going on
      • get you on the road to solid change
      • determine whether more work is needed

To support people in making a commitment to at least six sessions, we offer

DISCOUNT PACKAGES ~ save $50 and guarantee 6 appointments:

Six-for-Five package: $500 prepays for six sessions of 45 minutes.

Six-for-Seven package: $700 pre-pays for six sessions of 60 minutes.

Insurance companies require you to be "sick"
Most people come to counseling with problems in living, not because of a disorder or mental illness. In order to get your counseling bill paid by your insurance company, practicioners must assign a diagnoses that the insurance company will pay for, even if it isn't exactly what's wrong.

Insurance companies decide your treatment
They determine how often and for how long you can be seen for this illness or disorder that you may not even have. Even if you do have an illness or disorder, being permanently labeled is personally damaging.

Even if you are willing to go through this process to have counseling paid for, you should know

A DIAGNOSIS IS ON YOUR RECORD FOR LIFE
and
YOUR INSURANCE RECORDS ARE ACCESSIBLE
to other insurance companies, employers, police, hackers, etc.

My job is to help you, and others. I have special training of many years to do so. It may seem counter to helping people to charge money for it, or to be firm about attendance at sessions. However, people actually need to know that they are expected to show up as planned, and that our financial agreement is part of our commitment to making their life work.

I must run my practice as a formal business, or I won't be able to help anyone. Therefore, I must uphold the following two policies:

Appointments missed or cancelled with less than 24-hour notice will incur a charge of the full fee for one appointment, EVEN IN UNEXPECTED EMERGENCY. The reason that you cannot make it does not change the cost of my time or the loss to someone else who may have needed that time in your place.

CLIENTS BOOKING APPOINTMENTS ONE AT A TIME MUST PAY AHEAD FOR ONE APPOINTMENT TO COVER THE EVENT OF A MISSED SESSION. Clients on a package plan will be charged one session from their package for a missed session.
